AYGHOST use IPX protocol
for the network transmissions. The server that has
network shares must have "NWLINK IPX/SPX/Netbios"
and NWLink Netbios" protocols installed.
To save an image file to a network share or to
restore an image file from a network share, you
need to first map the network share as a local drive.
Please follow these steps to map a network share
for AYGHOST
1. Boot up the AYGHOST CD will launch the program
automatically. To
map a network share, we need to do it at DOS command
prompt. Click on
Exit to return to the command prompt.
2. At the command prompt, type “net logoff”
to terminate the default network
session started by AYGHOST bootable CD.
3. Type “net logon” to start a new network
session. You will need the
administrator rights to the server that has the
network shares. Provide a user
name and password who has administrator rights on
the server.
4. Select NO when you are asked to save the password
list.
5. At the command prompt, type “net use x:
\\server\share” to map the
network share to the local drive X.
6. At the command prompt, type “AYGHOST.exe”
to launch the AYGHOST
again, now you should be able to access the network
share as the X drive to
save image files or restore image files.
