You can use AYGHOST™ to deploy
a standard desktop across the
network to other computers with the multicast system
feature.
Multicast Systems
Multicast system makes the desktop deployment job
as easy as click and go. You can designate any one
of the computers in a network as a sender and broadcast
its hard drive to other connected computers.

Multicast system needs
to establish an IPX based communication between
the sender and receiver. You need to configure the
computer’s NIC driver for AYGHOST before
using the multicast system feature. Please refer
to the Appendix for more information about configuring
the NIC driver for AYGHOST.

Sender
To broadcast a computer’s hard drive to other
computers on the network, you need to set it as
the sender.

1. To set a computer as the sender, boot up the
AYGHOST™ CD and select network mode, choose
Multicast systems and then select Sender. The sender
will detect and display the conneted recivers, when
you have all the receivers connected, press Enter
to start the multicasting session.

Receiver
In order to receive the sender’s hard drive,
you need to set the other
computers on the network as receivers
1. To set a computer as the receiver, boot up the
AYGHOST™ CD and select the network mode.
Choose multicast systems and select Reciver.
2. The clients will discover and connect to the
sender automatically. |
