is AyRecovery?
AyRecovery is the best PC
rollback software in the market. It
allows PC users regardless their skill levels to easily and quickly fix
their computer software problems by rolling it back in time. It can also recover lost, corrupted files or
restore a crashed system to the working state within seconds.
How
does AyRecovery work?
AyRecovery allows user to
create "snapshots" of the system and data. Then user
can select a specific snapshot to recover files from or restore the system to.
What
is a snapshot?
Technically speaking, a snapshot is the map of the hard disk sectors and the
map's indexing system. Practically speaking, a snapshot is a "picture" of the
system and data at a specific time.
How many snapshots can I take with
AyRecovery Professional?
AyRecovery Professional
supports up to 1,000 snapshots.
How long does it take to take a snapshot
or restore a snapshot?
It takes
about one second to take a snapshot, 5 to 10 seconds to restore system to a
snapshot. (Tested on 200 GB drive)
How much disk space is required to
take a snapshot?
Theoretically, AyRecovery takes no hard space to create up to 1,000 snapshot. Practically each snapshot might contain different
amount of user data; therefore each snapshot size might differ.
Does AyRecovery prevent hardware failure?
NO, AyRecovery is a software solution. It
manages all the information on the local hard disk. No third-party media is
required to run AyRecovery Therefore, in the case of hardware failure, AyRecovery is
not able to run.
Is AyRecovery a replacement for backup
software?
NO, AyRecovery is not a replacement for
backup software. Most backup software copy the backup information to a
third-party media, either tape or network server. AyRecovery does not need a
third-party media to operate. It is able to protect and fix your computer
problems locally on the hard drive. Therefore, AyRecovery is not operable in the
case of hardware failure. The backup of important data to third-party media is
still encouraged.
What operating systems are supported
by AyRecovery?
AyRecovery supports Microsoft Windows 98,
Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows XP operating systems.
What file systems are supported by
AyRecovery?
AyRecovery supports FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS
file systems.
Can AyRecovery be installed on multi-boot
computers?
A multi-boot computer has multiple
operating systems loaded on the same computer. Yes, AyRecovery does support
multi-boot computers. However, the installation requires extra configuration.

I lost the administrator password, what can I do?

Can I disable or hide the AyRecovery program
interface from end users?
YES, AyRecovery is highly configurable. You
can choose to hide the Subsystem Console interface or the system tray icons from
end users. Go to AyRecovery Application Console, program settings to
make the selections.
Can I delete old snapshots?
YES, AyRecovery allows you to delete old
snapshots. You can delete them manually or configure the program settings to
delete the old snapshots automatically. However,
you can only delete unlocked snapshots. To delete a locked snapshot, you need to
unlock it first.
Do I loose the files in the current
system if I restore the system to another snapshot?
AyRecovery
patent pending technology allows you preserve or transfer files and data in the
current system to another snapshot during a restore process. You can also select to create a snapshot of the current system before
restore the system to another snapshot.
How can I uninstall AyRecovery
You can uninstall AyRecovery from
a). Control Panel/Add or Remove programs. b). Start/Programs/ AyRecovery Uninstall.
c). AyRecovery Subsystem Console by holding down the HOME key during system
startup cycle. |
